10 quirky sights in London
by Stuart McLaughlin on October 8, 2009
I’ve just seen this film (found via Metrotwin) which gives a short tour of some of the less obvious sights in London. Worth a look if you’ve got a spare 10 minutes.
I’ve spent a fair bit of time working in London just down the road from the films start- (and end-) point, so the history of Greater London House and the reason for the Edinboro Castle and it’s siblings were of particular interest.
Which twitter photo site to use?
by Stuart McLaughlin on September 30, 2009
With the release of Tweetdeck v0.30.5, and it’s slick drag’n'drop url shortening and photo upload, I thought it was probably time I should sign up to one of the built-in photo sites.
Given the choice, I’d prefer to use Posterous to host the photos (for consistency, since that’s what I use when uploading pics from my phone (Nokia E71 running Gravity), but since that’s not an option, it comes down to TweetPhoto, Twitpic or YFrog.
Looking through the sites, they’re all pretty similar, but the main differentiator, is that YFrog is the only one which allows you to log in using Twitter OAuth, which in simple terms, means you don’t have to enter your Twitter password when signing into the service.
For that simple reason, YFrog is the winner.
Which photo site do you use?
